By rssfeeds-admin Berryl D. Hill was arrested in August 2023 after a 12-year-old girl told a Beloit Police Officer that she had been sexually assaulted multiple times by Hill, who was 36 years older than the victim.
The girl told authorities that Hill was close with her family, like an “uncle,” according to Rock County District Attorney Jason Sanders.
Beloit Police secured strong DNA evidence in the case, Sanders said.
“What Berryl Hill did shocks the conscience,” sex crimes prosecutor Alex Goulart said at trial on March 20th. “We must do what we can to protect the most vulnerable and innocent, and nobody is more vulnerable and innocent than a child.”
Hill pleaded guilty to the charges against him, and will have to register as a sex offender upon his release.
