SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — As winter continues to make its last push before spring begins in Utah, 12 counties have issued a Code Blue alert.
Code Blue alerts are issued when temperatures, including wind chill, are expected to drop to 18 degrees or colder. The alert allows shelters to relax and expand to help those experiencing homelessness from the cold.
