CHICAGO — Red Line riders faced some delays after a train derailed on Saturday afternoon.
According to an update shared by the Chicago Transit Authority, Red Line service was temporarily suspended between Garfield and 95th due to a derailment, though it is unclear exactly where it occurred.
As a result of the derailment, Red Line trains were only operating between Howard and Garfield.
To accommodate the disruption, CTA officials said shuttle buses were available to provide connecting service through Garfield to 95th.
Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, the CTA said normal service had resumed.
