NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that happened minutes apart on Monday morning, March 17.
According to officers, the first incident reportedly happened in the 7th Ward. Around 12:08 a.m., officers were alerted of a shooting in the 1300 block of Saint Bernard Avenue where a man had been wounded.
Minutes later at 12:45 a.m., the NOPD responded to 3800 block of Texas Drive in Algiers where they said a man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.
The condition of both victims is unknown. Both investigations remain ongoing.
The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine possible suspects and motives.
