Weaker storm system trails into northern Utah Saturday morning

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy weekend, Utah! A trailing, weaker storm system hit northern Utah Friday night into Saturday and with cold air in place, scattered snow is expected again with snow levels staying at the valley floor until Sunday.

Additional snow accumulation is expected with an inch or two in northern Utah valleys. Southern Utah will stay slightly unsettled, but once rain clears Friday morning and again Saturday morning, an overall drier set up is expected for the weekend in Washington County.

Sunday our snow levels rise, and we get a break from active conditions through Monday evening. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid to upper 50s, with highs in southern Utah climbing into the mid 60s. Gusty southerly winds will pick up for the start of the workweek with daytime highs climbing above average to near 60 along the Wasatch Front, and highs hitting 70 across southwest Utah. Expect increasing cloud cover through the day, and wet weather to return Tuesday with a trough moving in with rain and snow!
