Pickleball courts are coming to this Fresno park

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno park is breaking ground on new pickleball courts on Monday.

The city announced Friday that eight new courts are set to be constructed in Rotary East Park on 6464 N. Cedar Ave.

In addition to the eight 64-foot by 34-foot pickleball courts, city officials say the park will also sport new benches, sports court lighting, and an 8-foot perimeter fence.

In a proposal document from December, officials announced the project would also include the installation of ADA walkways, a plaza space with a shade structure, picnic tables, one drinking fountain, and the replacement of several trees around the new courts.
