LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A woman in London was charged with allegedly shooting her mother to death on Friday night.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office wrote to FOX 56 News that around 9 p.m. Friday, deputies had found a dead victim who had been shot at a residence on Burnett Road off of KY-229.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s office identified the victim as Carol Rich, who had been found shot to death. The Laurel County Coroner’s Office pronounced her dead at the residence, where a pistol had also been recovered.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies reportedly arrested Brianna Rich, 26, Carol’s daughter. She was charged with murder and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
