ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Fire responded to a large garage fire that displaced a family Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:46 p.m., firefighters were called to a residence in the 1300 block of 7th Avenue for the blaze. Five engines and three ladders were used to put out the fire in 20 minutes.
No one was injured during the incident.
One adult and four children were displaced from their residence. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
Damages amounted to $70,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
