Just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, troopers with the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) were dispatched to the crash scene at mile marker 4 on I-65 in Bowling Green.
An initial investigation showed that Enma Valles, 54, of Bowling Green was turning onto I-65 North from Russellville Road when her vehicle allegedly crossed both lanes and the median.
Valles’ vehicle then reportedly entered the southbound lane into the path of a black commercial vehicle driven by Charles Toll, 62, of Beech Creek.
Valles was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for her injuries. Law enforcement did not specify whether or not Toll was hurt in the crash.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
