I-49 northbound at its intersection with I-10 will be closed to all traffic on Saturday, March 8. from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This closure is necessary for crews to remove formwork and clean the roadway of the I-10 eastbound overpass.
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development suggests motorist traveling on I-49 northbound to take the following detour: Take Exit 1A (Baton Rouge), continue eastbound on I-10 to Exit 104 ( Louisiana Ave), turn left on Louisiana Avenue, then take I-10 Westbound to Exit 103B ( I-49/US 167 -Opelousas).
I-10 eastbound, between the University Avenue Interchange and through the I-49 Interchange, will be reduced to one lane on Sunday, March 9. from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This closure is necessary for crews to remove concrete barriers from the outside lane of I-10.
