Victoria Cox arraigned in child murder, abduction case

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New information has been released regarding the murder of a Loranger mother and the kidnapping of her two young daughters back in July of 2024.

The woman who’s accused of being the killer’s accomplice has been arraigned in Tangipahoa Parish.

Victoria Cox faces a charge of being an accessory after the fact to the murder of Callie Brunett, and first-degree murder in the killing of one of Callie’s daughters.

Cox is accused of helping her boyfriend, Daniel Callihan, murder 4-year-old Erin Brunett last summer.

Callihan allegedly killed the girls’ mother before taking them to Mississippi, where Erin was killed.

The other daughter, a 6-year-old, survived.
