Rockford man arrested on charges of delivering cannabis in Save-a-Lot parking lot

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Camryn Bennett, 22, for allegedly delivering cannabis.

On Feb. 27, around 11:26 a.m., officials saw a Ford Mustang SUV pass them at high speeds and said it appeared the passenger was recording him.

Authorities followed the SUV but could not catch up after the vehicle ran a red light at Central and Auburn, according to court records.

The SUV was later found parked at a Save-a-Lot grocery store where police found Bennett. Officers searched the suspect’s backpack and found multiple bags of cannabis.

Bennet is charged with manufacturing and delivering cannabis.
