Highs today will return to the low 50s north and low 70s for southwest Utah. Tonight, look for mostly clear skies and another chilly start to our morning. Lows will dip into the 20s north, and 30s across the south for our Friday morning.
We will remain dry through our Friday afternoon as high pressure continues to strengthen across the state. A weak cut-off low pressure will try to skim southern Utah, bringing a slight chance for a shower or two for this weekend.
A stronger storm system still looks on track to arrive next week in the Monday through Wednesday time frame, bringing a better chance for widespread precipitation and some cooler temperatures to the state. It’s still early but looks like a mostly all-snow event for our northern mountains, with valley rain on Monday.
As the low pressure moves through the state Tuesday, looks like we may see snow levels drop to near the valley floors by Tuesday. This could lead to a rain/snow mix or even a period of valley snow on Tuesday.
The pattern looks to remain active through the end of next week, and potentially through mid-March with several more systems potentially on the horizon.
Stay tuned!
