N.J. Troopers seize over $36 million worth of marijuana, psilocybin products

WARREN COUNTY, N.J. (WPHL) — New Jersey State Police arrested two men from Stockton, CA, after troopers seized more than $36 million worth of marijuana, cannabis/THC products, and psilocybin products during a traffic stop last week.

According to N.J. State Police, the Mobile Safe Freight Unit conducted a commercial vehicle inspection on Tuesday, February 18 on I-78 East at mile marker 6.3 in Greenwich Township. During the inspection, officials said the tractor-trailer was transporting marijuana.

After searching the trailer, troopers seized the following, according to N.J. State Police:

  • 8,042.2 pounds of raw hydroponic marijuana
  • 12,062 pounds of various cannabis/THC products
  • 13.4 pounds of psilocybin products

Police arrested Fnu Attiq Ur-Rahman, 22, and Haffez Rehman Ur, 35. Both are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms, and possession of psilocybin mushrooms. Ur-Rahman and Ur were taken to the Warren County Correctional Center pending a detention hearing.
