Timothy Perry is being held in Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of dealing in meth as a Level 2 felony along with possession of meth as a Level 3 felony.
According to a joint release from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department and the Columbus Police Department, a Columbus home in the 700 block of 22nd Street was raided by police as the result of an investigation by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team on Feb. 25.
Three people were taken into custody during the search of the home including Michael Coffey, 35, of Columbus. Coffey faces preliminary charges of possession of meth as a Level 6 felony.
The third suspect arrested by police was a woman. She is preliminarily charged with a misdemeanor count of visiting a common nuisance.
Police said more than $2,700 in cash was found in the home in addition to the 50 grams of meth. Police also seized three firearms, an unspecified amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The Bartholomew County Prosecutor will decide what, if any, official charges will be filed in this case.
