19 years later, Uptown hit and run death remains unsolved
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On February 25, 2006, Toby Beaugh and his wife of less than a year were walking in the early morning hours along Magazine Street. According to police, around 2:30 that morning, Beaugh exchanged words with the driver of a pickup truck. Moments later, the truck returned to the area and ran over Beaugh, killing him.

Within weeks, Beaugh’s family worked to offer a $20k reward in connection with CrimeStoppers. But 19 years after Beaugh’s death, the case remains unsolved.

According to police, a witness in the area described the truck as perhaps being a black Toyota Tacoma with chrome wheel accents.

If you have information that could help solve the case and provide justice for Beaugh’s family, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court, and you could be eligible to earn a cash reward.

So far, more than 475 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
