Parades rolling in New Orleans on Lundi Gras, Mardi Gras Day

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It’s time to let the good times roll!

As parades continue and the city prepares for the last few days of carnival, here are the parades rolling in New Orleans on Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras.

Parade Schedule

The following parades will roll in New Orleans on Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras Day:

  • Krewe of Proteus will roll Uptown on Monday, March 3, at 5:15 p.m.
  • Krewe of Orpheus will roll Uptown on Monday, March 3, at 6 p.m.
  • Krewe of Zulu will roll Uptown on Tuesday, March 4, at 8 a.m.
  • Krewe of Rex will roll Uptown on Tuesday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m.
  • Krewe of Elks Orleans will roll Uptown on Tuesday, March 4, after Rex
  • Crescent City Truck Parade will roll Uptown on Tuesday, March 4, after Elks Orleans

Routes

According to NOLA Ready, Krewe of Proteus will start at Napoleon Avenue and Magazine Street, head down Napoleon Avenue, turn right on St. Charles Avenue, around Harmony Circle, back to St. Charles Avenue and end at St. Charles Avenue and Canal Street.

Krewe of Orpheus will start on Napoleon Street and Tchoupitoulas Street, head down Napoleon Street, turn right on St. Charles Avenue, around Harmony Circle, back to St. Charles Avenue, turn right on Canal Street, turn right on Tchoupitoulas Street, turn left on Julia Street, turn right on Convention Center Boulevard and end on Convention Center Boulevard and Henderson Street, according to NOLA Ready.

Krewe of Zulu will start on Jackson Avenue and South Claiborne Avenue, head left on Jackson Avenue, around Harmony Circle, turn left on Canal Street, turn right on Basin Street, head to Orleans Avenue and end on North Broad Street and Orleans Avenue, according to NOLA Ready.

Krewe of Rex will take its traditional route starting river-bound on Napoleon Avenue at South Claiborne Avenue, heading downtown turning on St. Charles Avenue, turning toward the river on Canal Street and ending on Tchoupitoulas Street, according to the Rex Organization website.

Krewe of Elks Orleans and Crescent City Truck Parade will start on South Claiborne Avenue and Napoleon Avenue, head down Napoleon Avenue, turn left on St. Charles Avenue, go around Harmony Circle, turn left onto Poydras Street and end on Poydras Street and Loyola Avenue, according to NOLA Ready.
