Mississippi College student arrested after bomb threat

CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with Mississippi College (MC) announced a student was arrested after a bomb threat was posted on social media.

According to officials, the MC Public Safety office received reports about the post on February 24, 2025.

The MC Public Safety office contacted Clinton police, and the anonymous post was traced back to one MC student. Officials said authorities determined the threat was not credible, and there was no imminent danger to the campus.

Clinton police arrested the unidentified student on February 24. Officials said the student has been administratively removed from the university.
