All New Orleans Uptown Route parades expected for Sunday were rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 25. They’ll be rolling back-to-back, starting at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and with the last to start at 7:30 p.m.
Thankfully there is no more rain chances expected for Tuesday or Wednesday of this week!
Tomorrow’s forecast for the evening parades is clear, temperatures dropping into the lower 60s! I’d bring a jacket, just in case you get a little chilly by the end of the parades.
For the end of the week and into the big weekend of Mardi Gras, we will have a few hiccups to keep an eye on, but overall, you couldn’t ask for a much nicer forecast as it stands now.
A front will arrive on Thursday with little fanfare, only a few spotty showers expected. Rain coverage generally less than 20%. Winds will be gusty at times as the front passes. Cooler air settles in for Friday and Saturday, particularly at night into the mornings. It will be chilly, crisp. So, make sure you’ve got the jacket after dark.
Next week, we will be keeping an eye on the forecast for Lundi Gras into Fat Tuesday. Model guidance is all over the place with regards to the forecast. Don’t put too much stock into the arrival of the next storm system just yet but definitely check in with the forecast as the week progresses.
