Looking ahead at the 2025 Philadelphia Union season with Dave Leno

It’s soccer season!

The Philadelphia Union kicked off their 2025 run with a 4-2 win over Orlando, and as we gear up for their home opener at Subaru Park on Saturday, March 1st at 7:30pm ET, we wanted to chat with the radio voice of the Union, Dave Leno about what we can expect from this team.

As we know, the Union has a new head coach, Bradley Carnell and Leno says, ” He’s done a great job in preseason from all accounts, I’ve had many conversations with coach Carnell, he did a great job when he was formerly with Saint Louis City where he took them to the 2023 Western Conference first place spot in the regular season as an expansion team, then he comes to the Philadelphia Union bringing in a few new players and he’s asked the team to be more brave, intensify the press, that means immediately when the other team has the ball in their defensive end, you’re going to see a minimum of two, three guys run, so there’s going to be a ton of running that Union fans can expect the team to do, it’s a collective effort”.
