Pelahatchie man killed in two-vehicle crash

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Pelahatchie man was killed during a two-vehicle crash on Highway 18 in Rankin County.

The crash occurred on Highway 18 near Sanctuary Drive just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling north on Will Stutely Drive when it collided with a 2019 GMC Sierra that was traveling east on Highway 18.

The driver of the Honda, James Williams III, 39, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and the passenger of the GMC were both transported to St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
