Homicide investigation underway after man found fatally shot near New Orleans’ City Park
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating after a man was found dead near City Park on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The NOPD reported that officers responded to the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue around 7 a.m., where they found an unresponsive man with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead by New Orleans EMS.
Additional information was not provided, and the Orleans Parish coroner will identify the victim.
