Two people hurt after shooting in Baton Rouge, one in critical condition

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Authorities are investigating a reported shooting that happened in Baton Rouge on Wednesday evening.

According to emergency services, officials responded to a shooting in the 800 block of N. 30th Street around 6 p.m. The shooting left two people hurt. One person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition and the other was taken with a minor injury.

A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Baton Rouge Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at 225-389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
