Meet the mom who invented Ceres Chill
This National Women Inventors Month, Lisa Myers shares the story behind Ceres Chill.

“They say that necessity is the mother of invention and certainly I felt that. Going back to work as a new mom is a whole other situation that’s for sure,” said Lisa Myers, Founder and CEO of Ceres Chill.

As a mom of two and former attorney, Lisa traveled a lot for work leading her to dump out thousands of ounces of breastmilk. With no solution to the problem Lisa created Ceres Chill, a patented breast milk chilling Thermos.

“Only 2% of patents issued to people between 1978 and 2019 are women. I went back to work and I just couldn’t believe that society advanced for every other person except for pumping moms.”

The thermos features two chambers and can hold up to 28 ounces of breastmilk. It can safely store that milk for up to 20 hours with just a handful of ice.

“It connects directly to every major breast pump and any standard baby bottle nipple will fit on the inner chamber.”

Advocacy for mothers returning to work is among the top priorities for Ceres Chill. Here you can find a sample email for your employer outlining pumping rights.
