Chicago police said 42-year-old Ronald Patrick, a South Shore resident, has been charged with one felon count of aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
According to police, the incident unfolded on Thursday, Jan. 9, in the 7600 block of North Greenview Avenue in Rogers Park.
Officers said Patrick allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed a 28-year-old man in the area, though it is unclear what led up to the incident.
Authorities have not provided an update on the victim’s condition.
Authorities eventually caught up with Patrick on Wednesday in South Shore, where he was taken into custody near his home.
Patrick appeared in court on Thursday for a detention hearing.
