Mississippi man, woman charged for alleged sexual battery of child

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man and woman in Lafayette County, Mississippi were arrested and charged with crimes against a child.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office says a report was filed on February 11 regarding the past sexual battery and molestation of a child.

Cathrine Tyson, 41, and Marcus Tyson, 41, were arrested following an investigation into the incident. They were each charged with Sexual Battery of a Child Under the Age of 14 and their bonds were set at $75,000.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
