NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Beloved repeat runaway dog Scrim, can now have a space in your home thanks to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, museum officials unveiled the first bobble head of the scruffy New Orleans rescue dog who gained national attention after being on the run since 2024.
The mini statue portrays the white terrier in a running pose, standing on a rectangular, textured Mardi Gras-colored base bearing his name.
“This bobblehead will be the perfect way for fans of Scrim to show off their love and support for the elusive rescue dog!” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar.

Following his second capturing on Feb. 11, Scrim has since been the grand marshal of the Krewe of Barkus and has had his own float in Krewe du Vieux. A third float depicting Scrim will ride in the Krewe of Muses parade on Feb. 27.
After making it through a historic blizzard and the hottest temperatures on record, Scrim has now settled into domestic life at the home of Michelle Cheramie of Zeus’ Rescues with the help of the community and Trap Dat Cat.
The bobbleheads can be purchased on the museum’s website at $30 with 10% of sales going toward Zeus’ Rescues, which is helping with Scrim’s care.
