Singley announces run for East Union supervisors

SHEPPTON – Another candidate has announced intentions to run for East Union Township supervisors.

Krystal Singley, a special education teacher, firefighter, and president of the township Crime Watch group, announced her candidacy over the weekend.

“I have always been committed to making our town a better, safer place for everyone,” Singley said in her announcement. “Through my work co-organizing National Night Out, I have seen firsthand what we can accomplish when we come together. Now, I want to take that commitment a step further by serving as one of your supervisors.”

“I believe in transparency, accountability, and standing up for the people of East Union Township,” she said. “It’s time for a change and to put an end to the corruption that holds our community back. I want to work for YOU- fighting for responsible leadership, more police, and a township government that will truly serve its residents.”

She is the second candidate to formally announce a run. Stefan Gerneth announced plans to run last week.

Incumbent Supervisors Chairman Kyle Mummey’s term expires this year.
