Man stabbed in throat during armed robbery in Auburn Gresham neighborhood: CPD

CHICAGO — A 35-year-old man was stabbed during an armed robbery in the city’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

The stabbing happened around 11:20 p.m. Monday on the 7800 block of South Wood.

Police said officers responded to a call for service and found the man with a stab wound to the throat. He also sustained bruising to the face and was transported in critical condition to Christ Hospital.

The victim told officers that he was attacked by three unidentified offenders who took his personal belongings.
