Man dies after being shot in Auburn Gresham

CHICAGO – A man has died after being shot Friday afternoon in Auburn Gresham.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just before 2 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Morgan Street.

A 28-year-old man was on the sidewalk when an unknown vehicle pulled up alongside him. Four people then got out of the vehicle, pulled out guns and fired shots at the man, hitting him multiple times, according to investigators.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was released and Area Two Detectives are investigating.
