Chicago police warn of recent sexual assaults in Logan Square, Palmer Square

CHICAGO – Chicago police are alerting residents of the city’s Logan Square and Palmer Square neighborhoods of recent sexual assaults.

Police said the incidents happened at the following times and locations:

• 3400 Block of W Armitage Av on January 14, 2025 at approx. 9:30 AM (Palmer Square)
• 2800 Block of W Bloomindale Ave on January 18, 2025 at approx. 3:10 AM (Palmer
• Square)
• 2600 Block of North Troy St on February 2, 2025 at approx. 3:40 AM (Logan Square)

According to police, the suspect approached his victims from behind. Two of the incidents happened on a sidewalk, while one of them happened in the hallway of the victim’s apartment building.

During each incident, the suspect approaches the female victims and sexually assaults them. In two of the incidents, the suspect was armed with a “sharp object,” according to investigators.

Police described the suspect as a man between 29-35 years of age, 5’6″-5’10” in height and weighing 150-175 pounds. He has short black hair, facial hair, brown eyes, and was wearing dark clothing during the crimes.

• Be aware of your surroundings and unfamiliar or suspicious people in your area.
• Make sure all outside gates and interior windows and doors are properly secured.
• Do not try to rationalize or confront offenders, it could lead to possible injury.
• Ensure that existing surveillance cameras are functional and recording.
• Call 911 immediately if you are a victim or witness to a crime and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) and involved vehicles.
