The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana received a check for more than $3,000 on Wednesday. The money was raised by students who created their own small businesses.
Thaddeus Highbaugh, principal of LCA, said the Entrepreneur Fair is impactful not just for the organization and its benefits but for the students who get to see their service in action.
“Every year, we get to do the entrepreneur fair as a tradition for our fifth-grade students and teachers,” Principal Highbauh said. “This year, we were able to re-vamp it a little bit and get more of our K4 students involved. Our 5th graders did a great job creating their own businesses and were able to sell their goods and services to our students.”
Students said they chose the Make-A-Wish Foundation as 2025’s Entrepreneur Fair recipient because they wanted to support granting wishes to children suffering from critical illness.
