Organizers expect about 100,000 people to walk the ground’s 2.6 million square feet this week. They will have the opportunity to visit about 1,200 vendors who represent equipment manufacturers, non-profits, ranchers and much more.
The gates open 9 a.m. Tuesday and the expo will last through Thursday.
“We have something for everyone at our show. We have over 1,200 exhibitors. They’re all showcasing something a little bit different and unique. So there’s a lot to see,” Spokesperson Megan Lausten said.
Lausten boasts that the expo will have the most advanced farming technology on the market. They are also adding new educational forums.
“We have a new women’s conference pavilion, which is really exciting. It focuses on women in agriculture, hearing from women in different sectors of ag,” Lausten said.
Lausten recommends buying tickets online before arriving. She also says the promo code VIP25 will take $3 off the ticket price.
The fancy equipment, educational resources and delicious food are not the attractions. Rancher Virgil Tucker brought his cow Ruby all the way from Idaho, and Ruby will sport hats throughout the expo.
“It’s just what I enjoy doing – just sharing my animals with people. That’s the fun part,” Tucker said.
Tucker says expos like this are a great way to bring people together, whether they work in agriculture or not.
He hopes even those who do not work in the farming industry will attend so they can learn more about where their food comes from – or perhaps just to see Ruby in a cute hat.
