Videos circulating on social media show a large condensation trail streaking across the sky above Fresno.
The unusual sight was a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch. The Vandenberg Space Force Base says they launched the rocket into the sky at 6:09 p.m. Monday from the coast of Santa Barbara County.
The base says the rocket was used to deliver Starlink satellites.
According to Vandenberg, Monday’s endeavor marks their sixth space launch and missile test from the United States Space Force’s West Coast Spaceport and Test Range in 2025.
