Man found outside on ground in Reedley dies shortly after

REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was found unresponsive, and later died, after being found outside a home early Sunday morning, Reedley police say.

The department received a call of a man lying on the ground just before 6:30 a.m. in the area of Myra and Buttonwillow Avenues.

Arriving officers say they located the adult male who was unconscious and not breathing. They provided C.P.R. to him until emergency medical services arrived and took over.

It wasn’t long before medical personnel pronounced the man deceased.

Investigators were called to the scene to begin the investigation. Detectives are working to learn more about what led up to the man’s death, but say at this point, they’ve not found any obvious signs of severe trauma.

Detectives believe him to be in his late-20’s or early-30’s.
