By rssfeeds-admin On Friday, February 7, around 11:30 p.m., crews responded to multiple calls regarding gunshots at the Cedar Creek Apartments complex in the 1900 Block of Denton Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man outside of one of the buildings in the complex, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead and has been identified as 46-year-old Ramiel Sanders.
Police say the suspect fled the scene before they arrived and that a witness saw a male leave the area in a gray truck. Abilene Police Department (APD) is still searching for the driver of the car and anyone else involved in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing. Police say both parties involved knew each other, and it was not a random act of violence.
