Police say on Feb. 1, they responded to a robbery around 4:45 p.m. at the Best Buy on Blackstone and Alluvial avenues.
Investigators report a suspect walked behind the cash registers, ripped two of them out and pushed an employee as he fled outside. The suspect was seen running with another suspect in the parking lot before they both got into a vehicle that fled northbound on Blackstone Avenue.
Fifteen minutes later, around 5 p.m. officers say they responded to a report of a robbery at the Deli Delicious on Shields Avenue near Blackstone Avenue.
Detectives report the suspect took the register and fled as an employee was in the kitchen area. The suspect got away in a vehicle that was waiting for him and ran over a victim’s foot as employees attempted to chase after him.
Investigators say both descriptions of the vehicles were the same in both cases which led them to believe the robberies were connected. Police identified two of the suspects as Anthony Bryan Rojas and Raymond Rojas and found them in the suspect vehicle in Reedley. Raymond was found with large amounts of money.
As a result, police say both suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime for the BestBuy case. Raymond Rojas was additionally charged on suspicion of robbery for the Deli Delicious case.
Investigators say a third suspect was identified as a juvenile who was arrested in Sanger. The outstanding cash registers were abandoned and located by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
