The crash happened on Hwy 153 near the intersection of CR 196 around 8:00 a.m.
Witnesses say the 18-wheeler was traveling north down the highway toward Sweetwater when it crashed into a dump truck that was crossing over at the CR 196 intersection.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was trapped inside his vehicle. He is seriously injured and it’s unknown if he is breathing. The driver of the dump truck was not injured during the crash.
A family that was also traveling on Highway 153 told KTAB and KRBC it was so foggy, they crashed into the 18-wheeler as well because they couldn’t see it until it was too late. Everyone in their vehicle sustained minor injuries.
