Wake-Up Weather: beware of patchy fog and false spring

Wednesday, February 5th, 2025

Summary: Mostly cloudy, humid and foggy start to the work week. Temperatures will rise and skies will clear as a warm front pulls north allowing temperatures to get close, but will likely stay just shy of the record set back in 1925. The rest of the week will be mostly a rinse and repeat: foggy starts, above average temperatures with southerly winds. Heading into Saturday we will see compressional heating to bring temperatures into the low 90’s for the first time this year. Not the earlier 90° day , that record holds January 31st, 1911. A cold front will knock down those temperatures to below average with a cold front bringing in rain chances to the region by early next week.

Today: Mostly cloudy with warming temperatures and clearing skies accompanied by a slight breeze. High Temperature: 80° Winds: ESE>SSW 5-15 G 30 MPH

Tonight: Mostly clear with a slight breeze and warm temperatures. Low Temperature: 61° Winds: S 10-15 MPH
