After a qualifying race between 40 drivers from the Fresno Sports Car Club of America (sign-up details here), the top 5 fastest racers and 15 randomly selected drivers will move on to compete against Fresno police, Hanford-area CHP officers and Fresno County deputies in a 3-run autocross challenge.
The first place winner will receive $1,500, second place will receive $1,000 and third place will receive $500 to donate to a charity of their choice.
Fresno SCCA members must submit a $125 donation fee to enter; non-members can enter for $145.
The race will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. The qualifying heat starts at 9 a.m. and the main event will start at 11 a.m.
