Everything you need to know about the 2025 West Texas Rehab Center Telethon & Auction

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Each day, over 850 patients visit the West Texas Rehabilitation Center locations in Abilene and San Angelo. From physical and occupational therapy to speech therapy, audiology, orthotics, prosthetics, and hospice care, they provide essential services to people from all walks of life. To support the non-profit’s mission of improving lives regardless of financial circumstances, the 55th Annual West Texas Rehab Center Telethon and Auction is just days away. Online Auction

The online auction, featuring nearly 600 items, went live in November. Bidders can find items such as paintings, gift certificates for advertising, restaurants, stores, and more. The auction will remain open until midnight on January 25.

Preview Show

A preview show will air on Friday, January 24, at 6:30 p.m. on KRBC and KSAN. Additionally, a comprehensive look at the auction items will be shown during a special show on Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m. on KRBC and KSAN.

2025 Host, Live Interviews & Stories

Charlie Chase of “Crook and Chase” is back as the host, joined by Jennifer Douglas Smith (ESPN Rodeo reporter) and Senora Scott (KLST/KSAN Assistant News Director) for live interviews and storytelling throughout the evening.

Auction TV Show

The Auction TV Show will air from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on KRBC in Abilene and KSAN in San Angelo. Be sure to tune in for a chance at some amazing items!

Entertainment Lineup

It’s always exciting to hear the WTRC Telethon & Auction lineup; this year, five musicians will take the stage.

• Red Steagall & The Boys in the Bunkhouse
  • A legendary Western music group led by Red Steagall, a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame.
• Aaron Watson
  • The pride of the Big Country, Aaron Watson, returns to the telethon stage to share his blend of traditional country, Texas country, and Americana, bringing his signature style and heartfelt lyrics.
• Tigirlily Gold
  • This dynamic sister duo from Hazelton, North Dakota, will be making the trip to West Texas to showcase their captivating harmonies and modern country sound.
• Jake Hooker & The Outsiders
  • Hailing from San Angelo, Jake Hooker, and his band are set to bring a mix of traditional country and Western swing, guaranteed to get the crowd dancing.
• Ariel Hutchins
  • With music rooted in rural Cross Plains, Ariel Hutchins is ready to take the stage, bringing her authentic sound that connects with the heart of rural Texas life.

Broadcast Information

The West Texas Rehab Telethon kicks off live at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th, at the Abilene Convention Center. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with auction items on display.

The West Texas Rehab Telethon will air across eight Texas stations. In the Big Country, you can watch the Telethon on KTAB or right here on BigCountryHomepage.com
