VIDEO: 2-alarm fire destroys North Abilene home

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A north Abilene home was destroyed in a 2-alarm fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire happened at a home on the 3000 block of Hickory Street just before 3:00 a.m.

First responders arrived on scene and found a the home fully involved in a heavy fire.

Despite attempts to subdue the flames, fire fighters had to move the attack to the exterior to protect surrounding structures.

The home is now a total lost, with the fire causing an estimated $133,007 worth of damage.

No further information, including a possible cause of the fire, is available at this time.
