North Abilene house fire causes $40,000 in damage

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — A house fire in north Abilene Tuesday afternoon caused $40,000 in damages.

Fire crews responded to the scene shortly before 3:50 p.m. on April 1 at a home on the 1800 block of North 8th Street, directly across from TLCA Abilene Elementary. Crews found heavy smoke and flames, making a swift attack to extinguish the fire quickly.

All occupants were able to evacuate the house safely, and no injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $40,000, and fire has been ruled accidental.
