ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene building was destroyed by a 2-alarm fire Saturday night.
The fire happened at a commercial property on the 1000 block of Oak Street around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the Abilene Fire Department. This building has a sign outside that reads “Terry’s Tire Shop”.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building and a second alarm was quickly sounded.
Backup arrived and firefighters worked for hours to contain the flames and keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
The fire caused an estimated $90,000 worth of damage, and the building has been deemed a total loss.
