Hollywood actor thanks Fresno firefighters battling Palisade Fire, department responds

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Hollywood Actor Dennis Quaid expressed gratitude to crews with the Fresno Fire Department battling the Palisade Fire, and the fire department responded.

Fire crews shared a social media post on Thursday saying Fresno firefighters had the opportunity to meet actor Dennis Quaid. The actor, according to the post, expressed “heartfelt gratitude” for the firefighters’ hard work and credited their efforts with saving his block.

The Fresno Fire Department responded, saying they deeply appreciate the actor’s support and kind words.

“We deeply appreciate his kind words and support as our crews continue battling these intense wildfires. Stay safe, and thank you for your support!” reads the social media post.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Palisades Fire has burned more than 17,200 acres in Los Angeles County, per the Cal Fire’s website.
