NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints wasted no time finding Tyrann Mathieu’s replacement in the secondary with reports that the team has signed Julian Blackmon.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the addition.

Julian Blackmon was the Indianapolis Colts’ third-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he has spent the last five years with the organization.

Blackmon started 62 of 66 games during that time and tallied 300 tackles with ten interceptions.

He saw a career-high 16 starts in the 2024 season.

The 6-foot, 200-pound defensive back is only 26 years old.

The New Orleans Saints will begin training camp practices Wednesday in Metairie.
