
NEW ORLEANS — Chase Young and Trevor Penning did not practice three days before the New Orleans Saints’ regular-season opener.
According to the team’s latest injury report, Young was limited at practice on Wednesday with a calf injury and was downgraded to DNP on Thursday.
Penning missed practice for the second straight day with a toe injury.
Defensive backs Jordan Howden (oblique) and Alontae Taylor (groin) were limited at practice, while defensive tackle Khristian Boyd (hand) was upgraded to a full participant.
The New Orleans Saints will face the Arizona Cardinals in week one at the Caesars Superdome.
The Cardinals are currently a 6.5-point favorite over the Black and Gold.
