Pregeant recorded 12 tackles, a pick-six against a five-star quarterback, and an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
“That’s what I live for. That’s what I play for. You know, and that’s what our schedule is for. So we’re in the big moments more often, and it comes more naturally and we’re more prepared for it. You know, that’s what I look for in every game. I just want to find the big moment and be in it. And then just whatever happens, happens,” says St. Charles Catholic senior Dax Pregeant.
Dax Pregeant plays around 65 defensive snaps per game and serves as the Comets’ punter.
“Yeah, and he’s a Pregeant. He’s the third of the Pregeants. His daddy played here and was a great athlete; went on to play baseball at Louisiana Tech. So, that’s kind of what our place is built on, you know. He’s also the shortstop in baseball and the leadoff hitter. So, you know, we ask a lot of our kids, especially those types of kids, because, you know, we’re not blessed with 40 of them. So he’s got to play that role, and he really played an excellent role Friday night,” said St. Charles Catholic head coach Wayne Stein.
St. Charles Catholic’s Dax Pregeant is our Friday Night Football Best Chevrolet Player of the Week.
