NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police fielded the first call around 6:40 that night, a teenager found shot to death in the 4400 block of Woodland Drive. Before the night was over, they’d visited three locations, all believed to be part of the same crime.

Now two years later, the case remains unsolved. It’s the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

According to police, while the victim was found on Woodland Drive, they believed the shooting happened around the corner in the 4800 block of Tullis Drive. Then around 40 minutes after the shooting, police were informed about another shooting on Tullis, but in the 5600 block. There they found a 14-year-old who had been shot. Right out of the gate, they felt the three locations were all connected.

The victim who was killed was identified at 18-year-old Amarion Woods. About eight months after the murder, police announced they were seeking a person of interest in the case, not to face charges but who may have information about the case. Still, it remains unsolved.

If you have information about what happened that night, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court, and you could be eligible to earn a $2,500 cash reward.

So far, more than 475 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justic.
