
After a two-month investigation, authorities identified a second group of suspects allegedly involved in the shooting. Detectives developed probable cause to obtain warrants for all six individuals on multiple felony charges, including six counts of attempted second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy.





With assistance from the RPSO SWAT team, the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit, the RPSO Crime Suppression Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force, all suspects were taken into custody over the past two weeks without incident.
Five of the suspects were booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center, while the juvenile was placed into the Renaissance Home for Youth.
The arrested individuals include:
- Xavier Jauvon Wright, 22, of Daffodil Street in Glenmora, charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. Bond was set at $3,050,000.
- Bernard Ellis III, 19, of 23rd Street in Alexandria, charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder, criminal conspiracy, and contempt of court related to a June 13, 2025, 9th Judicial District Court warrant. His bond was set at $3,052,500.
- J’Marion Williams, 21, of Silverleaf Drive in Alexandria, charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. Bond was set at $3,050,000.
- Tavarious Demond Thomas, 20, of Spencer Street in Alexandria, charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. Bond was set at $3,050,000.
- Isaiah Burns, 17, of Old Baton Rouge Highway in Alexandria, also charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. Bond was set at $3,050,000.
- A 16-year-old juvenile, whose name was not released due to age, was also charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder and is being held at the Renaissance Home for Youth.
The investigation remains active, and sheriff’s detectives say more arrests may be forthcoming.
